Jennie Lyon
Objective:

*To become an effective, influential elementary education teacher and to help students gain the essential knowledge, skills and self-confidence they need to succeed in the world around them.

Experience:

*September, 17 through December 2 I tutored at Dos Rios Elementary School twice a week for a 10 week period. This gave me 35 hours of experience tutoring two children in literacy.

*I also was a teacher at Noah's Ark Day Care from August of 2001 to Present. I taught mostly preschool, however I went to work in the toddler room occasionally as well. This experience gave me a lot of insights on child development which will be very beneficial to me as a teacher.

This is a picture of a couple of the toddlers that I worked with at Noah's Ark Day Care. Starting left to right: Me, Isla, Collin Kidron and Braydon.

Education:

*September, 2000 through December, 2001 I was at Front Range Community College. While I was there, I took 15 credits of early childhood development classes to become group leader qualified.

*January, 2002 to present: I have been attending the University of Northern Colorado working toward my bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies (Elementary Education) with an emphasis in English.
